Makell Moody is an alumni of St. Pius X High School. She is currently a student at Texas Christian University, studying Communication and Creative Writing with a minor in business. The first book that Makell published was Goodnight, Sweet Dreams, written in the fourth grade, where she had nightmares most nights. While growing up, she loved learning about all kinds of mythology and came across the legend of the Baku. This creature said to devour nightmares, helped Makell overcome her fear. She sewed together her own stuffed animal to match the Baku in the legend. Later, she wrote this story hoping it would give other children something to help them overcome their nightmares and sleep peacefully. But with her unending imagination and creativity, she also wanted to write more stories. As someone who loves true crime and watching shows like criminal minds, she was inspired to write a mystery novel she had come up with while on a road trip. She plans to write more books in different genres and share them with the world.
